One database, many lenses

Every Analog product is a different view on the same data. The apps are named for paper products -- physical objects that shaped how people organized their lives before software.

The shared database

All Analog apps share a single SQLite database. MemoKit, a Swift framework, provides the protocol layer. Every lens reads from and writes to the same data. A note in Memo is visible in Journal. A task in Planner connects to the entry that created it. Financial data in Ledger links to calendar events in Planner.

Not separate apps with separate data. One graph with many views.

Database SQLite (analog.sqlite)

Container App Group (group.analog.platform)
Platforms macOS, iOS
Sync Local-first, no cloud for v1
The graph is the company. The lenses are the products. Intelligence is what makes the graph useful.

Capture

The protocol layer. Quick capture of text, voice, images, and ambient context. The foundation everything else builds on -- what is not captured is lost forever. Every other lens reads from what Memo writes.
